hey, all! i'm aidan (he/they), and thank you for checking out my roleplay rules. for those wondering, i'm currently 17 (turning 18 in december). i've been writing and roleplaying on quotev for ~7 years, but unfortunately the site is going up in flames, hence i moved to discord.do note i'm starting university next year to study chemistry, so my replies may not be super consistent, but i'd still like to get to know you!

  • timezone: pst. will be cst this august

  • reply time: during the summer, i should be able to respond at least once a day, but this will change next school year.

  • rp perspective: third-person

  • reply length: extremely variable. between 300 to 2000+ words. i average 500-1000 comfortably.

  • oc genders and sexualities: i'm comfortable playing any gender of any sexuality. most of my ocs are under the bi spectrum anyway. i don't have a preference for what my partner plays.

  • triggers: none.

i'd prefer to not show my ocs unless asked (to prevent plagiarism and the like). do know that i'm working on a massive rehaul of oc sheets and faceclaims. below are a few short summaries of my ocs. regarding plots, reference the link in my ad. i love working on new plots too!

  • a religiously delusional monarch who believes in a "divine mandate" to rule

  • a member of the secret police planning a coup against the government

  • an alcoholic running away from the duty as the heir of a massive company

  • a detective that will solve any mystery only if cough up every penny you have

— RP RULES —

  1. please respond with a similar length to what i sent. if you can't comfortably write at least 300 words per response, i don't think we were meant to be rp partners. if you ever want to shorten the replies (trust me, i do too because i'm lazy), then just tell me!

  2. do tell me your triggers beforehand (especially when a lot of my ocs have questionable backgrounds). on that note, if you do decide to message me, an introduction with your name, pronouns, and roleplay preferences would be fantastic!

  3. i cannot stress this enough, but PLEASE help me move the plot forward. i do not want to do all the heavy-lifting. a roleplay is supposed to be collaborative, after all. if i'm doing all the work, i'll definitely drop the roleplay.

  4. ooc is not really needed, but i find that my roleplays always last longer with ooc chat. but you should know my ability to chat after the summer may be limited, and it takes me a moment to ease into ooc chat. i swear everybody says this but they never message ooc lol.

  5. don't spam me asking for replies. if you want multiple replies in one day, you've stumbled onto the wrong account. if i've been gone for absurdly long amounts of time, do feel free to send me a message. but if i mysteriously disappear for a couple hours, trust me i'll be back and you don't need to message.

  6. please be transparent with me! if you're leaving for a long time or are feeling disinterested in the roleplay, i don't want to be strung along. we can always rework the roleplay or take a break or stop altogether. i'll try to be as communicative as possible as well. if i don't receive a response for you in 10 days without a heads-up, i will leave the server/group chat and close our dms/unfriend you.
